Gundam: Stardust Trails is officially set to release near the end of October 2026. It’s just one of the many new releases Gundam fans have gotten to enjoy in recent months, and there’s plenty to look forward to in 2027 as well, including the release of Gundam: Rogue Orbit and a new anime arc. In the meantime, new model kits and releases with the official Gundam Card Game are helping to ease the wait.
The Gundam Card Game has especially been busy lately, with new booster packs and expansions arriving at a breakneck pace. Both the Heavy Dominion and Aquatic Assault Starter Decks, for example, were released on September 25. If you are a fan of the card game, then you’re in a bit of luck, because we’ve got Blazing Fist coming in January 2027, and the next upcoming set, Stardust Trails, is set to release on October 30. 2026.
Gundam: Stardust Trails will see a number of cards focused on Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. So far, reveals have shown off impressive new cards for the MSZ-010 ΖΖ Gundam and the RX-78GP01-Fb Gundam. We’ve also got details on what’s included in the newest Gundam Card Game set, including the trailer (which you can view above).
There will be 135 cards (+ 8 card types), with the spread for Gundam: Stardust Trails looking like this:
- x50 Common
- x36 Uncommon
- x32 Rare
- x12 Legend Rare
- x5 Special
- x8 Token
Each booster pack contains 12 cards. The booster packs have an MSRP of $4.99, which is a bit less than a lot of card games out there, so if you’re a Gundam fan, then this is well worth checking out. This follows the Freedom Ascension expansion that debuted in July. That set had 138 card + 10 card types, putting it on par with what we’re getting in Stardust Trails.
Overall, the Gundam Card Game is off to a great start. It certainly hasn’t gotten the same attention as the Pokémon TCG or Magic: The Gathering, but comparatively, the Gundam Card Game is relatively new. Stardust Trails will be the sixth main expansion, with the seventh expansion arriving in January. No information regarding the card totals for January’s set are known at this time, however.
All of this means it’s great to be a Gundam fan right now. With a couple of new movies in the works, a new anime that kicks off a brand-new timeline, and a pretty enticing video game in Rogue Orbit, there’s plenty to look forward to. The Gundam Card Game is going strong, so if you’re looking to experience Gundam in a new way, consider checking out Gundam: Stardust Trails when it releases at the end of October.
