Lil Uzi Vert’s Virtual Concert: Here’s What Happened

Music

Tonight (August 27), Lil Uzi Vert performed a virtual concert produced by Live Nation, and broadcast to Tidal from Philadelphia. See the full set list below.

Uzi released his long-teased album Eternal Atake in March, which he followed later in the month with LUV vs. The World 2, a set of more new tracks and Eternal Atake session recordings. He ran through a number of tracks from those projects, including “Baby Pluto” and “Lo Mein.” He also did “Over Your Head,” one of his two recent singles with Future that he released to celebrate his 26th birthday at the beginning of August.

Uzi performed on under a Jumbotron and on a circular stage that flashed with a number of custom designs and animations, including a tribute to Kobe Bryant’s jersey numbers during “Kobe (Bean).” Taking a rare break to talk between songs, he noted his frustration with the lack of live music and said, “If they don’t have real shows soon, I’m clearly going to throw my own real show.”

The show ended with Uzi lying on the stage at the end of “Futsal Shuffle 2020,” during which he put down the mic and danced. Live Nation’s next virtual concert is this Saturday (August 29), headlined by Megan Thee Stallion.
