Established in 2015, The Backcountry Hut Company was formed with a shared dream of constructing simplistic and remote recreational structures. The collective’s great love for the outdoors can hence explain their most celebrated concept – Dubbed System 00, and regarded the smallest and most streamlined option currently on the market, this structure distills the iconic A-frame aesthetic down to its purest essentials.
Designed to be self-assembled, System 00 is a dream DIY project, needing only the labour of four to five capable handymen, this project requires no heavy machinery, and comes with a step-by-step building guide – thus allowing it to be built anywhere from scratch, without a construction permit, within the span of a week.

Priced at USD$21,036.74 (CND 29,500), System 00 is one out of three Backcountry Hut concepts which include System 01, which demonstrates an ideal blend of rustic wilderness living inspired by the spirit of Canadian outdoor culture, and the spacious two-storey traditional alpine-inspired cabin, known as System 02.
