Norfolk Community Law Service has appointed Kate Price as its chief executive.
She will join the legal charity in October, succeeding David Powles, who is leaving this month to become chief executive of the Norwich-based homelessness charity St Martins.
Price brings more than two decades of leadership experience across local government, health integration, community services and the voluntary sector to the role.
She has been assistant director for communities at Ipswich Borough Council since February 2024, before which she was head of health integration and communities at Great Yarmouth Borough Council from 2022 to 2024.
Price also worked at Norwich City Council as neighbourhood and community enabling manager from 2016 to 2022.
She previously worked at the company Spice Innovations as senior partnerships manager from 2014 to 2016 and was a regional events manager at St John Ambulance in 2013 and 2014.
Price said: “NCLS plays a vital role in ensuring people across Norfolk can access the support, advocacy and justice they deserve.
“I know that David Powles is a tremendous chief executive and he leaves the organisation in great shape and with quite a legacy that I am proud to continue in future.”
