Kate’s appearance today comes after the Duchess announced last week that she is opening the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. “Ultimately, what shapes our childhood not only shapes us as adults, but also the society we want to form,” the Duchess’s team wrote on her and Prince William’s Instagram. “Change really needs to happen, and the time for action is now. In establishing The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, our mission is to drive awareness of, and action on, the transformative impact of the early years. It was great to speak with both experts and families alike at the London School of Economics and at Kensington Palace Café about this today. We will help to make change through fresh research to identify opportunities, collaborations to scale solutions and creative campaigns to bring this issue to life.”

It also comes after the Duchess shared a never-before-seen photo of her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis on her and William’s Instagram to mark Father’s Day this weekend. “Wishing fathers everywhere a happy Father’s Day,” the couple wrote, paying tribute to William, Prince Charles, Kate’s father Michael Middleton, and William’s late grandfather Prince Philip.
