Ready, Set, And Guccify

Luxury

Over the past year, many of us have transitioned to working from home in a bid to reduce social interactions. As a result of spending more time at home, we become more conscious of what makes up our humble abode. Scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest for inspiration seems to be a daily task on top of checking the daily infection rates. Saw a particular aesthetic that we want to emulate? The next step will be to save the post and add it into our mood board.

To help you with your journey of revamping your living space, the Italian House Gucci has released a new collection of homeware that brings the brand’s aesthetic into yours. Since the appointment of Alessandro Michele as the creative director, he has envisioned the House to be all-encompassing that transcends from fashion to an entire lifestyle. It has since opened a Michelin-starred restaurant, a museum, and a movie starring Lady Gaga.

The latest collection sees Michele referencing Gucci’s rich archive and emblazoning it onto pillows and furniture. Starting from the dinnerware: plates adorn the surrealist “Star Eye” which is also a recurring theme throughout the collection, cutlery come chiseled with lion heads and teapots printed in the House’s signature Herbarium print. With such an eclectic range, you will have no problem in enhancing the much desired social dining experience when the pandemic is over.

Apart from the kitchen wares, Gucci’s cult favourite cushions are also back and definitely appeal to the maximalist fans out there with its floral print with pink tassels or another with a tiger patch plastered onto tartan. Elsewhere, a footstool upholstered in another of the House’s signature emblem, the Bee, is also available. To round out the entire collection, candles are also made and stored in medicine jars commonly found in the 19th and 20th century pharmacies.

Of course, you can expect nothing but quality from the House as artisans and craftsmen were engaged to make these objet d’art. Take this time to slowly amass these oddities, if you may call them, and proudly display them when the time comes.
