Win a £250 holiday voucher: Tell us about a place that evokes a bygone Britain

Destinations

Inspired by our story about the Victorian seaside holiday and the enduring British tradition that followed in its wake?

Most of us have fond childhood memories of traditional seaside holidays in Brighton, Margate, Blackpool or Llandudno, with their fun fairs, arcades, donkey rides and picnic lunches seasoned with sand. If you are among them, we’d like to hear your stories and tips – whether they are humorous, sentimental or just plain useful.

But there are other kinds of travel experiences that evoke a bygone Britain. You may have been to the Goodwood Revival or to a vintage air show, say. Perhaps you know of a timewarp pub or heritage railway, a battle re-enactment or a display of courtly pursuits at a medieval castle.

The reader who sends in the best entry wins a £250 Aito holiday voucher.

About the provider

The £250 Aito holiday voucher can be put towards the cost of any Aito holiday; book direct with an Aito member or through an Aito Specialist Travel Agent.
