In an image that demonstrates true sacrifice, more than two dozen medical professionals from Georgia are seen on a flight to New York. The healthcare workers smile and raise heart signs as they travel to aid the epicenter of the pandemic.

“These brave souls soldier on in the midst of tremendous risk and exposure, constantly putting the needs of others above their own,” Southwest Airlines captioned an Instagram image of the passengers. “Their selfless sacrifice is a beacon of light during such a dark time in our world, and no amount of gratitude and praise would ever be enough. Because of their courage, our family, our friends, our coworkers, our neighbors, and more have a fighting chance.”

A Brooklyn Landlord Canceled Rent For Hundreds of Tenants

In a time of financial strife for many, the New York Times profiled a Brooklyn landlord who is easing stress for his tenants during the pandemic. “STAY SAFE, HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS & WASH YOUR HANDS!!!” Mario Salerno wrote on signs posted around his 18 residential buildings, letting residents known that rent for the month of April would be waived. “My concern is everyone’s health,” Salerno told the Times. “I told them just to look out for your neighbor and make sure that everyone has food on their table.”
