Luxury

Young Living has released a luxurious collection of new oils, just in time for Easter, that date back to biblical times.

Utah-based Young Living is a market leader in essential oils, and their new release is sure to bring a new legion of fans to the brand. The Oils of Ancient Scripture™ set consists of ten oils made using plants and botanicals listed in the bible. These include the ‘Rose of Sharon’ (Song of Solomon 2:1), and Cypress, which is mentioned in Isaiah 44:14.

The Young Living Oils of Ancient Scripture™ set was created to let you experience the aromas experienced by people in bygone times. It includes the scents of Cedarwood and Myrtle and is also ideal for Christmastime with the scents of Myrrh and Frankincense, two fragrances that people have heard of but probably can’t come close to describing.

The oils are an ideal way to celebrate Easter and enjoy the rich and fragrant scents with your family.

The Oils of Ancient Scripture set includes ten single oils in 5-ml bottles, with each oil offering a variety of uses.

Aloes (Royal Hawaiian™ Sandalwood): Believed to be made from fragrant sandalwood, aloes were a gift Nicodemus brought to Jesus. (John 19:39) Add a drop of Sacred Sandalwood to your favourite facial or body lotion to enjoy its rich scent and enhance the natural radiance of healthy-looking skin.

Cassia: Cassia was a key ingredient in the incense used in temple worship. (Psalms 45:8) Diffuse Cassia to create a fragrant ambience that’s ideal for relaxation and meditation.

Cedarwood: The “cedars of Lebanon” were acclaimed for their durability and used to build Solomon’s famous temple. (1 Kings 4:33) Apply Cedarwood freely onto your palms while participating in aroma yoga or while stretching before exercise.

Cypress: This oil is extracted from the cypress tree, which has wood so durable that the cypress doors of Rome’s St. Peter’s Basilica show no sign of decay even after 1,200 years. (Isaiah 44:14) Promote a sense of security and grounding by rubbing a drop of Cypress into your hands and inhaling deeply.

Frankincense: The Hebrew word for frankincense, levonah, is used in the Bible 22 times, making it one of the most recognised materials in scripture. (Song of Solomon 3:6) Frankincense can be diffused to help you deepen your spiritual connection during prayer or meditation or can be added to skin creams to help your skin feel healthy and smooth.

Hyssop: Biblical references to this plant indicate it was probably used in practices and rituals intended to purify and cleanse. (Psalms 51:7) Hyssop is known for its inspiring, slightly sweet scent that can cultivate an environment of creativity.

Myrrh: One of the key ingredients in Moses’s holy anointing oil, Myrrh was highly regarded by Biblical figures such as David and Solomon. (Proverbs 7:17) One of the three gifts brought to Jesus from the three wise men, Myrrh is modernly used to moisturise and cleanse dry skin.

Myrtle: Sukkot, commonly translated as Feast of Tabernacles, includes myrtle branches in its ceremony. (Nehemiah 8:15) Apply Myrtle in the morning to enjoy its refreshing scent and prepare yourself to rise to any challenge.

Onycha: Onycha was an ingredient in the “pure and holy” perfume or incense the Lord commanded Moses to make. (Exodus 30:34) Diffuse Onycha in your home to connect to its sacred origin, or apply a drop to the back of your neck during prayer or meditation to heighten your spiritual awareness.

Rose of Sharon (Cistus): This rock rose has a sweet, honey-like scent and could be the flower referred to as the Rose of Sharon. (Song of Solomon 2:1) Featuring a honey-like fragrance that has been treasured for centuries, Cistus can be diffused to enjoy its soothing and uplifting fragrance.
