We head to Duck & Dry Mayfair for some Hair-based TLC

Luxury

We review the latest opening from iconic blow-dry and beauty brand Duck & Dry in the heart of Mayfair.

Duck & Dry is probably THE hippest blow-dry bar around and where London’s elite go to treat their tresses to some TLC. That means pre-party blow-drys and updos, festival-ready braids and a range of essential beauty treatments.

The brand’s really shaken up the beauty industry with its idea of express blow-drys you can fit in on your lunch break.

Their latest opening on Mayfair’s North Audley Street is the first to feature a nail bar. And it’s where I headed there for some lunchtime pampering.

Duck & Dry Mayfair has a gorgeous interior

The speedy service, extended opening hours and gorgeously chic surroundings aren’t the only reason to treat yourself to a Duck & Dry blow-dry. The highly experienced stylists have the art of blow-drying down to a tee and can recommend looks to compliment what you’re wearing. They’ll have you looking glamorous in the time it takes to eat a Pret sandwich.

For those that have a little more time to indulge, the Mayfair branch has its own bar for tea, coffee or something stronger.

You can have a full wash and dry at the salon, but I opted to wash my hair myself (their clients often do this) as I had less time. I didn’t leave feeling like I’d scarified on luxury though – thanks to the plush interiors, backlit booths, and the yummy mocktail I was handed.

I received compliments from my colleagues on my beach-style waves, which stayed in place all night and even after a night’s sleep.

For a no-hassle blow-dry in a beautiful salon, Duck and Dry Mayfair makes for a cracking choice.
