Ariana Grande Says ‘Bonjour’ to Paris in a Mod Minidress Amid Olympics Rumors

Style

Ariana Grande added further fuel to speculation that she could be part of tomorrow’s Paris Olympics opening ceremony when she shared an Instagram from the city this morning. Grande stopped at a Sephora on the Champs-Elysées to promote her r.e.m. beauty line. She went mod in a Tom Ford mock-neck minidress. Her blonde hair was styled in a ponytail.

On Instagram, she shared a couple selfies of her look. She also reposted the Wicked movie’s Instagram showing an emerald train arriving in a Paris station as part of its promotion. “First stop on the way to Emerald City: the Paris Olympics! #WickedMovie,” the account wrote. “Bonjour,” Grande added to her post, along with the bubble emoji as a nod to her character Glinda.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed yesterday that Lady Gaga is set to perform at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony tomorrow. It listed Grande among the other rumored artists who could perform. Grande hasn’t commented on the rumors, but at the very least, she confirmed she’d be part of the games to do a little press for Wicked.

This isn’t the first sporting event where Grande has appeared to promote the upcoming two-part musical film. She and Cynthia Erivo (who is playing the Elphaba to Grande’s Glinda in the film) also went to the Super Bowl earlier this year, where they wore custom Louis Vuitton jerseys with their characters’ names on them.

Grande revealed in mid-July that she is shifting her social media focus to promoting the film rather than her music. She told her fans on Instagram, via E!, “I love you all so much. I have decided to put a temporary pin in all things that are not Wicked for now. Thank you in advance for understanding. I am deeply grateful for your patience and, mostly, so inexplicably excited for all that is to come. There is so much. See you soon.”
