Pershing GTX116

Ferretti Group has confirmed that its display at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 12-17) will include the world premieres of the Pershing GTX116 and Riva 82’ Diva, while the wallwhy150 will make its France debut following its global debut at this year’s Venice Boat Show.

Pershing’s GTX116 is billed as a “sport utility yacht” and features an exterior and interior by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design. Produced at the Mondolfo facility by Italy’s east coast, the 35.2m flybridge motor yacht has a beam of 7.7m, 150sqm of outdoor areas, and five guest cabins and crew quarters on the lower deck.

The first unit, Caffeine, made a public appearance at this year’s Monaco Grand Prix and features a hull painted a new shade of grey and a deckhouse in a special shade of blue. The yacht features a triple waterjet propulsion system with the upgraded option of three 2,000mhp MAN V12s, producing a top speed of 35.5 knots and a cruising speed of 29.5.

On Italy’s west coast, Riva recently launched the first 82’ Diva at its La Spezia shipyard, which features a 40sqm flybridge, which the builder has described as one of the largest for this size of yacht and is the same size as the upper deck on the GTX116.

Other Diva highlights include the beach club, which features large, drop-down bulwarks that create lateral terraces and increase the yacht’s beam from 6m to 9m.

The 25.3m model with a 6.1m beam is the new entry-level model for the brand’s Flybridge series, which includes the 90’ Argo, 102’ Corsaro Super, 110’ Dolcevita and 130’ Bellissima. Like all Riva models in the last 27 years, the 82’ Diva has been designed by Officina Italiana Design co-founders Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta with Ferretti Group.

Engine options comprise twin 1,800hp or 1,900hp MAN V12 engines, which produce a top speed of 29 or 31 knots respectively and a cruising speed of 26 or 27 knots respectively.

The wallywhy150 offers 150GT of interior volume on a 79ft yacht with a beam of 22ft 3in (6.8m) and was created by the experienced Wally-Ferretti Group Engineering team, with Studio Vallicelli Design responsible for interior design. The model is the second model in the why series, following the 89ft, 200GT wallywhy200 (click for Review), which debuted at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Sporting a raised pilothouse design, the wallywhy150 can reach 21 knots with three Volvo Penta IPS1200 engines or 23 knots with three IPS1350 engines.

The aft deck offers a large, high-low platform that includes a hydraulic multipurpose ladder and can house a wide range of water toys including a 3.9m (12ft 8in) tender. On the main deck, floor-to-ceiling glass ensures lots of light indoors, while the forward master suite — as on the wallywhy200 — offers 270-degree ‘amphitheatre’ views due to an unusually high bow.

Guest accommodation on the lower deck can comprise VIP, double cabin and twin cabins, or two VIP suites. Most of the upper deck is open, with a large lounging area aft, while much of the forward part – including an alfresco dining area — is covered by a hard top.
