Flourish at Sindhorn Kempinski Bangkok is a wonderful place to spend your Sunday brunch. True to its name, the Extravaganza Sunday Brunch serves up a lavish international buffet. The seafood tower stars imported river prawns, sweet and succulent lobsters, oysters, and black mussels, all served with a variety of house-made sauces. The Japanese corner features sashimi and sushi from Ki Izakaya restaurant, while the cheese and charcuterie selections offers a large variety of cheeses, fresh and dried fruits and nuts, cold cuts and cured meats including parma ham, jamon Ibérico and salami.

The Thai food station teems with authentic, mouth-watering dishes, but if you want something exclusive to Flourish, head to the Middle Eastern corner and sample kebab and dips by the hotel’s Lebanese chef. Aqua Bar

At Anantara Siam Bangkok is Aqua Bar, and it serves an international buffet in a lush garden setting with live jazz music to make your Sunday brunch a feast for all senses. The spread features specialities from all in-house restaurants. The seafood station dazzles with lobsters, Alaska King crabs, oysters and more. European delights include foie gras and imported steaks, while Japanese offerings from Shintaro restaurant include tempura, sushi, sashimi of imported Japanese fish, and wagyu beef ramen. Fans of Italian food can indulge in authentic pasta and risottos from Biscotti restaurant, but if Chinese is more to your liking, the Peking duck and pork char siu will not disappoint. Lord Jim’s

Lord Jim’s at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is legendary for its lunch buffet, launched more than 40 years ago as the first premium lunch buffet in Thailand and still popular today for the freshness, quality and variety of the selections. Many call it their favourite lunch spot and return time and time again to enjoy the 100-plus-item menu.

The seafood station features Canadian lobsters, giant Hokkaido crabs, French oysters, and a large variety of sushi and sashimi. The Western selection ranges from classics such as French foie gras, Ibérico ham, Nordic salmon gravlax, seabass in salt crust, and organic mulberry honey-glazed ham, to fresh house-made pasta and assorted sauces from Ciao Terrazza. The Dining Room

The Dining Room at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok presents The Grand Sunday Brunch on the first Sunday of every month, and it’s a must-try for brunch lovers. Executive Chef David Senia has created a buffet that’s sure to satisfy any appetite using select imported ingredients from premium beef to racks of lamb to fresh seafood (including rock lobsters and three different kinds of French oysters). There are also sushi and sashimi selections and Asian and Western dishes including Singapore chili crab served with deep-fried mantou buns, Hong Kong-style roast pork, and French-style duck confit.

Three highlights you shouldn’t miss: foie gras au torchon served hot with apricot sauce, wonderfully fragrant truffle risotto, and luxurious ikura tart. If you are a fan of beef Wellington — a hard-to-find treat these days — the Dining Room’s version won’t let you down. Next2 Cafe at the Shangri-La Bangkok serves Sunday brunch in a relaxed setting by the Chao Phraya River. Executive chef Phillip Taylor and his team have created a signature menu full of indulgent treats. The fresh seafood selection features toothsome prawns, sweet crabs and voluptuous oysters. The Western station has everything from eggs benedict to top-quality steaks and delicious barbecue, while the Indian corner offers a variety of authentic dishes including grilled meats from the tandoor. And sushi and sashimi lovers will be pleased by the selections available.

A highlight of the Sunday brunch is that every guest is served a welcome drink and one Lobster Thermidor. And the dessert station is no less impressive than the savoury selections.
