Celebrating 60 years of service and hospitality this coming year, Loews Regency New York has defined Park Avenue hospitality since the moment it opened its doors in 1963. Built by Robert “Bob” and Lawrence “Larry” Tisch, the iconic, family-owned hotel has long maintained prominence on the Upper East Side with a graciousness that is grounded in family heritage. Dedicated to delivering unscripted guest moments, Loews Regency is one of a portfolio of 26 hotels and resorts across the U.S. and Canada, each within major city centers and resort destinations. This, its Park Ave. gem, is the brand’s flagship hotel, and it is everything a visitor to New York City might desire: glamour, luxury, and location.

With Central Park within arm’s reach, Madison Avenue shopping a block away, and some of New York’s most stylish domestic addresses as neighbors, Loews Regency promotes a residential vibe, providing guests a true New York City experience. As ideal for families as it is for business guests who fill its 379 art deco-themed guestrooms, the hotel features 58 spacious suites in 13 varying sizes and layouts, several with kitchenettes. For those desiring to model a quintessential Park Avenue lifestyle during their visit, these apartment-like quarters are the ultimate New York attraction and are perfect for entertaining. (Book the hotel’s Suite Deal, and receive $125 in daily F&B credit, as well as free Premium Plus Wi-Fi.)

Individually designed with their own unique charm and character, the Terrace/Atrium Suites range from 950 to 1,350 square feet; three of the four offer larger terraces and the fourth features its own private atrium. The Executive, Grand Executive, and Manhattan Suites range in size from 490 to 900 square feet and allow for connecting rooms.

The ultimate in chic, Loews Regency’s six stylish and spacious Signature Suites, imagined by New York City’s finest design talents, range in size from 700 to 1,550 square feet. Each features varied views over Central Park, Park Avenue, 61st Street, and the New York City skyline and each has its own character and aesthetic that transports guests to a New York state of mind.

The Uptown Bohemian Suite, designed by Meyer Davis Studio Inc, is inspired by the eclectic aesthetic of SoHo and the clean lines of Chelsea. The Bespoke Suite draws its inspiration from New York City’s vibrant fashion industry. The Glamour Suite is an interpretation of what might have been Marilyn Monroe’s Park Avenue pied-a-terre, while the Pop Art Suite features bright colors and bold designs. Haynes-Roberts, Inc. designed the Classic 1970s Apartment with a sophisticated aesthetic inspired by the glamorous apartments of Milan from the 1970s. These Signature Suites are anchored by the Nate Berkus Apartment on the 21st floor, a 1,000 square foot oasis of jewel-toned style and comfort with a formal living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and balcony with views of Park Avenue.

Furthering the classic New York vibe is the hotel’s famed The Regency Bar & Grill, still the pinnacle location for the New York ‘Power Breakfast,’ a concept introduced in 1975 during the New York City financial crisis when Bob Tisch began inviting leaders from the public and private sectors to the restaurant to discuss city recovery. The Power Breakfast, a Loews Regency signature, forever changed how business was conducted, ending the era of the three-martini lunch in favor of morning meetings. It continues to be one of the most iconic dining experiences in Manhattan, offering both locals and hotel guests the perfect people watching opportunity. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner featuring American-fare with market-fresh ingredients, served in a sleek, Sinatra-esque environ where Manhattans and martinis are de rigeur. And the unique Flavor by Loews Hotels program highlights local favorites, such as sweet and savory treats from West Village bakery Mah-Ze-Dahr, quintessential New York Bagels from Ess-a-Bagel, and signature blends from popular For Five Coffee.

Another favorite of both locals and guests is the hotel’s 10,000-square-foot beauty flagship, the Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa whose namesake haircare pioneer has coiffed the manes of some of the world’s most famous names. His eponymous line of products are featured in each hotel guestroom. The salon and spa offer comprehensive wellness experiences that include a 1,700-square-foot fitness facility featuring a medley of Peloton spin bikes and elliptical machines.

Visitors to Manhattan well know that they have a multitude of hospitality options throughout its numerous well-defined neighborhoods, each with distinguishing character. But few can match the cosmopolitan appeal of Loews Regency New York.
