The RNIB has increased its senior leadership team from 12 to 16 people as part of a top-level overhaul.
The sight-loss charity said the move, which has also involved a renaming of previous SLT positions, was “designed to give us the logical structure to deliver our ambitious new strategy, achieve our vision and deliver impact for blind and partially sighted people”.
The charity has added directors of communications, innovation and transformation, customer experience and engagement, and fundraising strategy and transformation to its senior team.
It has also appointed Charlotte Jackson, associate director of engagement and communications at Parkinson’s UK, as director of communications. She will join the RNIB in October.
The charity has promoted Jim Sanders from customer programme lead to director of innovation and transformation, Debbie Miller from head of customer and supporter experience to director of customer experience and engagement, and Emma Williams from acting associate director of fundraising to director of fundraising strategy and transformation.
The charity said there had been no redundancies or job losses as a result of the other changes to its senior team, which came into effect earlier this year.
The RNIB also said that Kerry Eldridge, executive director of people and culture at the social care provider Cornwall Care, had been appointed as its chief people officer. She will take up the role, which is not part of the new senior leadership team, in October.
The RNIB announced last year that it had sold its central London headquarters for an undisclosed sum because it was larger than the organisation needed.
