Adele has announced the rescheduled dates for her 2022 Las Vegas residency, dubbed Weekends with Adele. On November 18, the singer will kick off her previously postponed concert series, which will run through late March 2023.
Adele shared a statement about the newly rescheduled performances:
Adele’s Las Vegas residency was originally meant to commence on January 21, and continue every Friday and Saturday until April 16 (with the exception of February 18-19). The day before the residency was scheduled to start, the singer announced its postponement in a tearful Instagram video. She revealed that her crew had faced setbacks due to COVID-19 diagnoses and delivery delays. “It’s been impossible to finish the show. And I can’t give you what I have right now. And I’m gutted,” she said in the video.
Last fall, Adele issued her fourth album, 30. Less than a week after its release, it became the year’s top-selling album in the United States. Revisit Pitchfork’s review of 30, the track review of album highlight “To Be Loved,” and “5 Takeaways from Adele’s New Album 30.”
