Movies

Special Operations In Far Cry 6 is an End Game/Bonus mode that requires players to deliver time bombs to earn exclusive rewards such as armor pieces, weapons, accessories, and Moneda. It can be accessed from any main base camp in Yara through the Special Operations Handler, Lola, and can be played in multiplayer co-op. There are currently 3 operations available, Mesocoizo, Maceo, and Cocodrilo.

Before taking on the Mesocoizo in Far Cry 6,  equip a loadout that will give an advantage when transporting the time bomb or PG-240X. Use stealth as much as possible, and avoid unnecessary combat. Loadouts and strategies will be prioritized to a stealth build with the ability to survive offensive situations.

Stealth is key to finishing the Mesozoico mission with little to no problems. Bringing the right Far Cry 6 equipment, proper recon and clean headshots will lead to a decisive victory. An aggressive approach is possible but requires healing equipment and proper planning, or play co-op to have another player ready to revive and deliver the PG-240X safely to extraction.

PG-240X is the device that Far Cry 6 players will transport back to extraction to complete the operation, it is a ticking time bomb that will explode if exposed to heat. Players will have to learn to move quickly and keep the device cool to complete the operation. There are important aspects to keep in mind during the Mesozoico operation.

  • Stay off the roads and run in the grass, trees, or underneath dinosaur statues for shade. It will stop the timer giving players a chance to run farther without cooling the device.
  • There are levels of heat color depending on the timer, blue = level 1, orange = level 2, red = level 3, when it’s flashing red on the player’s body, move quickly to a water source.
  • The device will go into self-destruct mode after 50secs on Standard difficulty, then have a 10-second countdown before exploding. When it hits the 10-sec countdown, there will be little to no chance of survival, when players are not near water.
  • Physical fire will speed up the timer, stay out of the flaming ground.

Use an Amigo to a specific playstyle, stealth, or offensive. The best choice for Mesozoico is Guapo, an offensive Amigo that will kill and distract enemy soldiers during combat. Great for protection while running and carrying the PG-240X. Supply Drops can also be found, they will spawn with an orange smoke signal that can be seen in the sky. It will reward the players with Gunpowder and Supremo Bonds.

Mesozoico’s Operation Structure & Layout in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 Special Operations Mesozoico Structure Layout

The basic structure of Operation Mesozoico in Far Cry 6 is broken into 3 parts. Surveying the park, getting the PG-240X from the Visitation Center, and surviving the Final Ambush. so as soon as players start the operation, they will be greeted with the entrance gate, take note of the upgrade workbench located to the left of the player’s starting position, 2 water faucets in front of the gate, the giant moving dinosaur, 2 mushroom statues with flowing water, and the surrounding huts, as these buildings will play a key role in finishing the operation successfully.

There is also an amusement park board showing the entire map, this board contains the location of the Mesozoico Dinosaur Mini-parks, totaling 9 parks, not including the Visitation Center. It will show 2 different regions to cross before reaching the Visitation Center, the blue region or the green region. The blue region contains more mini-parks and more enemies to clear. The green region will contain fewer enemies and have a further distance to each mini-park. Depending on how the player is prepared to cool down the PG-240X, they will make a choice between the 2 regions.

Mesozoico Dinosaur Mini-parks:  Mini-parks have advantages & disadvantages in Far Cry 6. 1. They will have different ways to cool down the PG-240X, water fountains, water sprinklers, water barrels, and water pools. 2. Small groups of Assaulter’s, Rocketeer’s, and Vanguard’s will patrol these areas. 3. Most parks contain ammo refills, usually 1-2 boxes, and amusement park boards to mark the player’s current location on Far Cry 6‘s map.

The Visitation Center: It is a large white building next to a downed helicopter in Far Cry 6. What players will need to know before infiltrating. 1. Multiple elevated hills around the front, back, and right. The best flanking position is the right hill that has the most coverage of the area. Use it to recon with Perception Grenades and snipe unaware targets. 2. There are 3 alarm boxes, 1 in the front, 1 in the back, and 1 inside the building. Takedown these alarms will stop enemy soldiers from calling reinforcements. 3. Enemy guards are stationed in the front, back, and center of the building, taking them out silently will not trigger the alarms to call reinforcements. 4. The surrounding area is armed with trip mines, move with caution. 5. The keycard to the PG-240X is located on Lt. Ria Campos, when scanned with either Dani’s phone or a Perception Grenade, it will highlight her as a yellow card-type enemy. Use an Armor-Piercing Round and headshot to take her down swiftly. The keycard will drop where she was downed. 6. The PG-240X is located in the center-right room, 1st floor.

Mesozoico Park Stash Key: It is in the center-left room, 1st floor, on the giant dinosaur head display. After picking it up, head to the Pterodactyl Statue located down the road from the Visitation Center. The chest will be located behind the statue near a large rock and can only be opened once. The reward is 400 Monedas.

The Final Ambush in Far Cry 6’s Special Operation Mesozoico

Far Cry 6 Special Operations Mesozoico Final Ambush

When players get back to the entrance gate with the PG-240X, they will receive a new objective to hold out and survive an ambush. The only way to complete Operation Mesozoico is to defeat all of Far Cry 6‘s enemies, tanks, and military vehicles in the surrounding area. Assaulter’s, Vanguard’s, Rocketeer’s, and Medic’s will be arriving by ATV and spawning behind the huts located left and right of the entrance gate. The military vehicle will be an attack helicopter. What players will need to know in order to survive.

Take note of the surrounding area around the gate, As briefly mentioned in The Structure and Layout section, players will see multiple ways to stop and cool down the PG-240X. The giant dinosaur and surrounding huts will provide shade to stop the timer. The 2 water faucets and mushroom statues will be used to cool down it down.

During combat, use the Auto-Turret gadget to cover fire, as it will kill incoming enemies and serve as a distraction. When the completion bar is around 60% – 80% an enemy attack helicopter will arrive. It will spawn to the left of the park entrance, use a rocket launcher or the Exterminator Supremo to take it down. And be cautious of its movements, as the helicopter will try to dodge missiles fired at it.
