Can I travel to Croatia from the UK? Latest advice for summer holidays

Destinations

Croatia remains amber following the Government’s latest update to its traffic light categories for foreign travel, meaning travel to its popular Adriatic resorts is technically able to go ahead – although significant restrictions make it impractical for most. The UK Government also advises against travel to amber-listed countries.

While nowhere near as severe as the restrictions faced by those travelling from red-listed countries, those arriving from the UK from Croatia will still have to self-isolate at home for 10 days (potentially reduced with a paid-for test to release on day five) and to take PCR tests on (or before) day two and on day eight of isolation, as well as taking a PCR test before returning to the UK and completing a passenger locator form.

The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) still advises against travel to Croatia, despite lifting its restrictions for other European countries, including Spain.

From July 19, fully vaccinated Britons will be able to return from amber countries, including Croatia, without the need to quarantine on return.

Here, we answer all the key questions regarding holidays in Croatia.

The entry criteria is complex so please check with the Foreign Office website
