Centrepoint appoints former British Red Cross director to top fundraising role

The youth homelessness charity Centrepoint has appointed Julie Milnes as director of fundraising. 

Milnes spent almost eight years at the British Red Cross, latterly as director of high value giving and events. 

After leaving the BRC at the start of the year she has held interim senior fundraising roles at the Teenage Cancer Trust and the International Rescue Committee. 

Milnes worked at charities including Amnesty International UK and Unicef UK before joining the BRC in 2012. 

She said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with the brilliant and talented Centrepoint team to ensure we can support young people facing homelessness now and in the future.”
