Lisa Hamme from 90 Day Fiancé spoke about her getting back together with Usman Umar while on Instagram Live. The turbulent couple from 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’ most entertaining season yet has been through many ups and downs, with Lisa even getting fired from the show for using the N-word. While the season ended on a possibly happy note as the dramatic couple tied the knot, Lisa and Usman have always been travelling on a rocky road.
TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’, follows couples who have applied for or received a K-1 visa. K-1 visa is uniquely available to foreign fiancés of United States citizens. This leaves the couples with ninety days to marry each other. Lisa “Baby Girl” Hamme, 52 and Usman “Sojaboy” Umar, 30, are one such utterly dramatic twosome from season 4. One of the most talked-about couples on the show, Lisa flew all the way to Nigeria to marry Usman even though his mother disapproved. The long-distance love took a toxic turn when Lisa’s insecurities started meddling with Usman’s music career, with the Pennsylvania native even asking him to remove a model from his song’s video. She refused to have another girl in a video that was supposed to about her. The couple did end up walking down the aisle in the finale but a few weeks ago, Lisa confirmed their split while accusing the Nigerian rapper of “using her” to promote himself on the TLC show. To make matters even more shocking, the show’s Tell-All footage saw Usman revealing that Lisa had used the n-word on him. Lisa subsequently lost her spot on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Strikes Back, a spinoff in which stars confront their haters, due to the racist remarks. But, as things go with reality TV, the estranged couple might get back, age gap and disrespect notwithstanding.
Lisa Hamme went Live on her Instagram profile this Thursday to answer some burning questions from her eager followers. Speaking to one such follower amongst her 111k strong fanbase, Baby Girl Lisa said, “Him and me … We’re going to set the record straight for a lot of people.” When asked about her relationship status with Usman, she teased, “There’s certain things that I cannot discuss with anyone but, when the time is right, Usman and I will be going Live.” Although she didn’t disclose the schedule for this anticipated Live, Lisa declared that “Stay tuned cause our journey is not over.” She also shared how Usman has not yet been to the USA to meet her and that “government issues” are the reason behind it.
The couple had blocked each other on Instagram after the split and it has stayed the same ever since. So, the possibility of them going Live on the platform could mean Lisa extending an olive branch to “Sojaboy.” Lisa faced ample flak on social media due to her insensitive words as also her repetitive toxic and demeaning behavior towards her Nigerian husband.
The show’s fans continue to believe that Usman could never have been the bad guy in this story and that the couple should stay separated. However with Lisa’s revelations about them getting back together, it does seem like the 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days pair have buried the hatchet, albeit temporarily.
