Charities are being invited to apply for a share of £500,000 in funding from the specialist insurer Ecclesiastical.
The company is offering 10 grants of £50,000 through its Movement for Good Awards, which can be used for the advancement of education, skills, arts, culture or community development.
Charities with an annual income of less than £5m can apply for a grant and the application deadline is 24 July.
The successful charities will be announced from 21 September, after review by a panel of judges.
The news comes as Ecclesiastical names the 500 charities that will receive grants of £1,000 each under the first phase of the programme.
People were invited to nominate their favourite charities to receive funds and the winners were drawn at random.
More than a quarter of a million people voted, with 13,695 charitable organisations nominated.
Award winners included Lifesavers Scotland, Tenovus Cancer Care in Cardiff and the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
Charities did not have to take part in phase one of the programme in order to be eligible for a £50,000 grant.
