Another couple got the boot from The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, but does that mean that the contestants’ romantic relationship came to an end, as well? Here’s what we know about Natascha and Ryan following last night’s episode.
After being sent home, fans are curious to know if Listen to Your Hearts‘ Natascha and Ryan continued their relationship when the cameras stopped rolling. The powerful pop vocals of Natascha paired with Ryan’s John Mayer-esque guitar skills had everyone thinking they were frontrunners of the show. Not to mention their week four performance where they passionately shared a mic in front of judges - making it seem that the couple had great chemistry both on and off the stage. But were the two musicians actually faking their connection for a chance at stardom?
The power duo, unfortunately, did not receive a rose on Monday’s episode after judges couldn’t get over the mishap that happened during their (should we say interesting) jazz-inspired take of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” Judge and former Bachelor himself, Arie Luyendyk Jr. even commented on if their performance was genuine with another judge, Train’s lead singer Patrick Monahan asking the contestants on the spot how they felt and if they thought they nailed it – ouch. The couple both admitted to faults in the performance with Natascha getting teary-eyed explaining she sang the wrong verse, which ultimately sent the couple packing. However, did the elimination mean that Natascha and Ryan’s romance would also come to an end?
From the start of the spin-off series, it wasn’t entirely clear whether or not the couple was there to find love or if they were just, what we like to say, in it to win it. The two contestants paired up sort of randomly, with Ryan first showing an attraction to 21-year-old country singer Jamie and Natascha joining the show a few episodes later to maybe just ruffle feathers. But once they started performing together, everyone could see that these two had some major talent.
So, after they left the show, did they decide to pursue their relationship? Bustle was quick to stalk the musician’s Instagram pages and reported that “their posts have been primarily performance-focused, versus anything sappy and romantic.” The two both follow each other and also use a cute hashtag nickname “#Rytascha” when they post about their time on the show, but other than that it seems like their Bachelor flame has been blown out. Which, to be honest, isn’t at all that surprising. Out of almost 20 seasons of the Bachelor franchise, only a few relationships are still going strong.
Here’s to hoping that the rest of Listen to Your Hearts’ contestants can make it longer than the average cast member because we’re secretly crossing our fingers that one day we can tune in and see all the musical performances of that televised Bachelor wedding. Right?
