Honest Grapes to Host Online Tasting Event with Jonathan Maltus OBE

Luxury

Wine fans are in for an absolute treat this May – Renowned winemaker Jonathan Maltus OBE will be joining Honest Grapes for an informal virtual tasting event where Jonathan’s 2019 Bordeaux’s will be sampled.

Jonathan Maltus, 100-point Saint-Emilion winemaker, is getting together with the Wine Director of Honest Grapes, Tom Harrow on 13th May for a not-to-be-missed and unique online tasting session. At the tasting, Jonathan and Tom will be trying the first samples of Jonathan’s new 2019s: Pontet-Labrie, Le Dôme, Château Teyssier and Vieux Château Mazerat.

Jonathan is one of the pioneers of garage wine and, as Will Lyons of the Sunday Times says, “what he has achieved in Bordeaux is nothing short of remarkable”. This informal tasting will be an exclusive opportunity to get personal insights into the new vintage from Jonathan, the maverick winemaker, and Tom, the “nattiest dresser in the wine trade”!

Attendees will be provided with a bottle of mature claret to enjoy on the evening, and the two-bottle purchase will come with a CD of his new studio album “And Now”, recorded at Abbey Road, which Jonathan will undoubtedly play tracks from at the end of the session (with all attendees encouraged to sing along)!

  • Price includes access to the event plus wine delivered to your door:
  • £36 for a bottle of Château Laforge, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2011
  • £90 for a bottle of Vieux Château Mazerat, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2008
  • £126 for both + a signed copy of the CD
