Legends of Tomorrow Parodies Star Trek In Hilarious New Trailer

Movies

The Legends of Tomorrow are headed to the final frontier in a new trailer that parodies Star TrekAs the fourth Arrowverse show to premiere on The CW, Legends of Tomorrow quickly proved to be quite different than the other DC shows included in the universe thanks to its ridiculous time-traveling shenanigans. Over the years, fans have fallen in love with all of the wackiness Legends of Tomorrow has to offer, and even now, well into its fifth season, things show no sign of slowing down. Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Jes Macallan, Nick Zano, Dominic Purcell, and Matt Ryan.

As a whole, the Arrowverse is currently suffering from coronavirus-related issues. Shows like The Flash, Batwomanand Supergirl will be forced to finish their seasons earlier than expected, since all of their productions were shut down due to the ongoing pandemic. The Flash‘s early ending was confirmed by star Grant Gustin recently, while the Supergirl writers are rewriting their finale during the shutdown. Luckily, Legends of Tomorrow has been able to avoid these issues because its season wrapped months ago. As a result, the only obstacle Legends of Tomorrow had to deal with was its new episodes being pushed back. Now the show is ready to return with its first new episode in over a month.

Ahead of the newest batch of Legends of Tomorrow episodes, The CW released a trailer teasing what’s to come. In typical Legends fashion, it’s pretty insane. Amusingly, it also starts off with some funny Star Trek references. See it for yourself down below:

The latest episode of Legends of Tomorrow, titled “Zari, Not Zari,” features the highly-anticipated meta crossover with The CW’s long-running Supernatural. Beyond that, the show will continue its season-long quest for the Loom of Fate, which has the power to change people’s fates. This will also mark the first episode since stars Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford’s exit back in March. Routh has been open about how his exit was not his decision, and now fans will get to see if it was the right move.

Legends of Tomorrow has already been renewed for season 6, which will surely delight fans. Since Legends of Tomorrow will be the only Arrowverse show currently airing to get a proper ending to its season, it’ll be a smooth transition between seasons 5 and 6. Granted, that’s provided the pandemic doesn’t impact production on season 6, but as of right now, it’s still in the planning stages. For the time being, fans can just sit back and enjoy the crazy adventures that are still to come.
