How To Pass Time During A Lockdown

Over a quarter of the world’s population is currently in some form of a lockdown. Here are some good ways to pass the time.

  1. Bake Some Cakes

This will come in handy if you have children around. Lemon and yogurt cakes are some of the easiest cakes anyone can bake. You could also bake cookies for them as well. These should keep the children distracted, hence never want to go out. Baking cookies will also keep you distracted too, hence not worry about what is happening outside.

  1. Take on Spring Cleaning

Although many people dread the spring clean, most hardly find time to do it. You can, therefore, use the lockdown to your advantage to clean everything in the house. With plenty of time on your hands, you can take on everything from the couches to the garage, hence ensuring a cleaner home.  The cleaning itself will help get blood moving, hence enough exercise for a healthy mind.

  1. Read A Book Or Novel

A good book can keep you entertained and glued for hours. This is what many people used to pass the time back in the day. Thanks to technology, you can get any book you wish to read on your Kindle or iPad with just a few clicks.

  1. Learn Spanish, (or any other language)

Have you always wanted to learn a new language, but didn’t have time to?  Use this time to learn. Be sure to learn at least five words per day for the best results. Use a sticky pad to help you through.

  1. Have a Cocktail Night

This is one of the best ways to have fun in the house. It is uniquely special when you have your family members or flat-mates with you. You will, however, need a few recipes for it to work. Look for easy recipes online, then include the ingredients in your shopping list. You can stock up on your next visit to the supermarket. A cocktail night enables you to bring the bars to your home, hence never missing to go for a drink.

  1. Get Exercising

A two-week lockdown could see you lounging on the sofa all day every day. Make it a habit of exercising for at least 30 minutes to get the blood moving. Look for workout videos on YouTube to help you with this. You could also try yoga and stretching in the morning too.

  1. Binge-Watch Netflix

There is no better time to catch up on your favorite TV series like now. You can watch all the seasons you have missed within the two weeks in lockdown. There are also plenty of new movies and series on Netflix and other streaming platforms to explore. Whether it’s Game of Thrones, The Good Wide, Lost, or Spanish ones, you can enjoy them all during this time.

Look for movies and series in the language you have been learning as well. These will help you grasp the new language (e.g., Spanish) much better, and even be fluent in it.  Toy Boy, Elite, and Casa de Papel are good examples of Spanish TV series you can try.

  1. Play Games

Whether online like nhà cái bóng đá 2020, board games or puzzles you can lose yourself for hours in a good game.
