Kipp Nelson’s Glamorous Collywood Dream House on Sunset Strip, West Hollywood

Luxury

Perched high atop the glamorous hills of West Hollywood’s sunset strip, sits Kipp Nelson’s hi-tech Collywood estate. Boasting aerial views of Southern California, the home features a multitude of flexible and automated play areas, perfect for hosting parties and entertaining guests.

Constructed and designed with the expert help of global collaborative design practice, Olson Kundig, Nelson’s dream house had materialized in the form of an ideal Californian getaway, blurring the lines between each perceived indoor and outdoor space through a deliberate mix of expansive glazed panels, plus steel and concrete structures.

Spanning a total of 1,450 meters, the Collyhood residence is three-storeys high with astoundingly unobstructed views of the San Gabriel Mountains and Pacific Ocean. Featuring an array of private rooms and palatial communal spaces – easily accessed through the ground floor, the main living area doubles up as a transformable space for both intimate gatherings and large-scale functions with retractable windows which transition guests seamlessly toward an outdoor terrace.

With an immense infinity pool, a private garden and hi-tech gym, the Collywood house is highly modern and sophisticated, enriched with unexpected chromatic elements, custom furnishing, statement design pieces, and several other contemporary art pieces.

Providing residents with a proportional daily dose of fun and privacy, the home’s top floors are reserved for the master suite, while the lower levels feature the kitchen, dining area, living room, game room, indoor car galleries and other multimedia spaces.
