Located a short walk away from the hotel, the Royal Academy of Arts, based within Burlington House in Piccadilly, is hosting the eye-opening Eco-Visionaries exhibition until 23rd February 2020.
The exhibition explores several key topics at the forefront of national and international media headlines, including climate change, species extinction and resource depletion through thought-provoking films, installations, architectural models and photography.
A striking display at the exhibition is Alexandra Daisy Ginsburg’s piece ‘The Substitute’, which features a life-size animation of the northern white rhino roaming around in a white box before disappearing and reappearing as a pixelated version, representing the animal’s near-extinct status.
The exhibition also features works by international practitioners including Olafur Eliasson Hon RA, Andrés Jaque, Unknown Fields and more.
