A recipient of One Key from the MICHELIN Guide in May 2024 and part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Canne Bianche Lifestyle Hotel is nestled along the golden sandy shores of Torre Canne. Flanked by olive groves on one side and crystal-clear waters on the other, the family-owned luxury boutique hotel offers a serene oasis to travelers away from other Italian hotspots. Molded around the Art of Slow living, it presents the perfect blend of sophisticated luxury and authentic Apulian charm.
Reflecting the traditional Puglian style with its whitewashed walls – characteristic of the region’s “masserie” (fortified farmhouses) – the 49 elegantly furnished rooms and suites present the true essence of luxury chic. Local materials like “chianca” stone floors and “tufo” stone walls, add to the minimalist charm of the hotel whilst natural light and earthy tones create a warm and authentic atmosphere. Another key aspect that adds to the charm of the hotel is the hand crafted dresses that some of the staff wear, a nostalgic reference to Apulian housewives of the past.

Opened in 2011 and currently managed by Gianvito Mangano, the hotel was born from the vision and passion of its founder, Antonio and his family. Antonio wanted to create, “a place that is not just a hotel, but our home, where we welcome guests as friends and give them unique and memorable experiences. At Canne Bianche, our guests will find a big family.” Upon entrance through its gates and across the rocky driveway, you are welcomed into a warm, intimate and enveloping atmosphere.
Each of the accommodations offer guests a private patio or balcony immersed in the views of the serene setting of Puglia. The two Executive Suites Sea View provide guests with panoramic views of the Adriatic while the Canne Bianche Master Suites are their premier offering. Measuring 40sqm, they each have private plunge pools and a large private patio with sofa and sun beds.

In true Puglian style, food (and a lot of it) is offered, celebrating Apulian flavors and craftsmanship. Crafted from the finest local ingredients, Chefs Domenico and Alessandro at their signature restaurant Autentico Wine & Restaurant, opens diners’ palates to local ingredients with innovative techniques. A must-try is their catch of the day from which they can create first and second courses.
Breakfasts at the hotel are a sight to be seen as their massive buffet spread is highlighted by their “massaie” (housewives) putting on a live cooking show as they prepare omelets, Apulian biscuits and many other traditional delights. Complementing these dining experiences is the Botanico Lounge Bar where every sip is a taste of Puglia’s vibrant terroir. The hotel also hosts seasonal events that allow guests to immerse themselves in local culture, like the olive picking in “Masseria” to “La Serata Pugliese – the night of traditions” which feature live music, dance, and local delicacies – a true celebration of regional culture.

Offering treatments that draw from the region’s natural resources, The Aqua Spa at Canne Bianche features a wet circuit and four elegant treatment rooms, one of which is for couples. From their ‘Olive Oil Ritual’ which utilizes locally produced organic olive oil for a deeply nourishing body massage to the “Coccole Pugliesi”, (Apulian Cuddles): face and body rituals based on natural products and wild herbs grown in the hotel vegetable garden, the spa’s serene ambiance is a sanctuary for respite.
Guided by a deep love for their land and an innovative spirit, from the use of solar panels to sourcing ingredients from local organic farms to its use of eco-friendly products in the spa and biodegradable materials for packaging, they emphasize sustainability. So whether it’s sipping wine under a blanket of stars or lounging by the pool, Canne Bianche is the perfect escape to recharge and bask in Apulian culture.
