Just steps from The Green Park between Mayfair and Westminster lies the boutique Flemings Mayfair Hotel home to 129 guest rooms and suites. Part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the hotel is one of the oldest family-owned hotels in London that in its past life was 13 Georgian townhouses. Adorned by an elegant interior design inspired by 1930s glamor, the property is vintage yet contemporary with an elegant and award winning four AA Rosettes restaurant, Ormer Mayfair by So?an, a stylish bar and a world-class skincare clinic.

Rooms are transformed into a quiet respite by interior designer Tully Filmer through bespoke furniture and decor in shades of bronze and soft greys. Accentuated by period features and black and white portraits by celebrity photographer Dr. Andy Gotts MBE, ground floor suites come with landscaped private terraces, while studio suites and apartments come with an honesty bar (guests can either mark the amount used or the hotel will bill the guest upon check out) filled with ten premium gins, tonics and bitters.

“Flemings Mayfair is a modern luxury experience that combines impeccable and sophisticated design details with functionality and comfort,” noted Managing Director Henrik Muehle. “We aim to appeal to our guests’ five senses and it starts with what they see when they first arrive.”

Starting at £6,500/night, The Townhouse is their most opulent accommodation and contains two apartments; the two-bed garden apartment, the Diamond Suite and the three-bed Jubilee Suite. Each apartment and room is decorated differently in a contemporary style and offers plenty of natural daylight along with a lovely inner courtyard. Entered by a separate entrance on Half Moon Street, the private residence can host up to 15 people and allows guests to enjoy the full array of services provided by Flemings Mayfair, including the stunning restaurant from Executive Chef Sofian Msetfi which is featured in the Michelin Guide 2023.

In an elegant setting, exuding subtle 1930s British sophistication, diners are treated to seasonally changing tasting menus that are bursting with a wonderful bounty of British fare. From their market menu – (£79) or tasting menu (£115) – to their pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan tasting menu (48 hrs notice for vegan) options, original dishes like the warm Ibérico ham jelly and the roast rack of Cumbrian lamb are offered by Msetfi who brings his wealth of experience in Michelin-starred restaurants. Paired with the flavorful menu is an impressive wine list of over 500 selections, hand-picked by Wine Director Sergi Guillen Beneito to perfectly complement the delicate flavors of each plate.

“Ormer Mayfair by Sofian stands out and has been recognized as one of the best restaurants in London. The Chef’s artistry takes guests on a gastronomic adventure from start to finish that not only leaves them full of wonderment but after nine courses no room for much else,” said Muehle.

The hotel is also home to Manetta’s Bar, a plush bar that recaptures the surreptitious spirit of the original hang-out at Flemings back in the 1930s where spies would swap secrets. The opulent dark and sultry design accentuated by polished rose gold detailing envelopes guests in a vibe of sophistication to enjoy cocktails inspired by writers Agatha Christie and Gertrude Stein. Bar favorites include the Lost Generation cocktail and Towards Zero cocktail which can be paired with bites like the chicken liver parfait and braised pork belly. And not to be missed, just off the lobby is The Drawing Room, a refined Indian-inspired space inviting guests for light refreshments and beverages during the day, along with afternoon tea.

Proud to boast the Pietro Simone Skincare Clinic on the hotel’s first floor, the new clinic by renowned skincare practitioner and facialist, Pietro Simone, offers one-to-one face and body consultations and bespoke treatments. The calm and restful haven offers an extensive list of over 35 treatments like The Relaxer Facial to The Fierce Body Treatment to Meso Micro-Needling.

Easily accessible via the Underground, with the Victoria, Piccadilly, and Jubilee Lines, the iconic Mayfair hotel is the perfect base for a leisure escape in London or a business stay in the capital.
