Buy Succession Kendall Roy’s NYC Triplex Penthouse for $29M

Luxury

Succession fever is high, and viewers can’t get enough of how the Roy family lives albeit in a fictional way. The series, into its fourth season, is a masterclass of “quiet luxury” as despite wearing the most “plain-looking” pieces, these are often the most expensive. While the fashion choices are not the most exciting, the homes that the Roy family stays in deserve a closer look. Case in point: Kendall Roy’s newest penthouse in the show is on the market for just US$29 million.

Located in Manhattan, the triplex was the backdrop of the opening of season four’s Episode 4. One could see the gorgeous skyline surrounding the apartment from those glimpses. This is a chance to live the life of the incoming CEO of Waystar Royco.

The apartment was conceptualised by Joe McMillan’s DDG and is perched atop the tower on 180 East 88th Street. Among the other towering architectures, this particular unit is allegedly the tallest along 72nd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Its location offers unparalleled views of New York’s Central Park during the day and at night, the city’s lights are sure to leave an everlasting impression.

The triplex spans 5,500 square feet of area and has a lift to connect the different floors. Being a penthouse, the apartment has the luxury of space, which is characterised by its high ceilings that can reach 28 feet at some points.

On the lower level of the house, one would find a grand and impressive space with an open-plan living room, a dining room, and a cozy great room complete with a fireplace and a wet bar. The custom Molteni & C Dada kitchen is just a few steps away, which boasts a beautiful centre island, stunning Statuario marble countertops, high-end Gaggenau appliances, and elegant natural brass fixtures by Fantini. Nearby, another room can be used as a den, library, guest bedroom, or home office for important family matters.

Moving to the upper floors, there are five spacious bedrooms that offer plenty of privacy and are furnished with comfortable and luxurious touches. The main suite takes the spotlight for its stunning interior. Inside is a cosy fireplace, a romantic loggia terrace and a dressing room, while its bathroom boasts elegant marble slabs paired with mosaic walls, oak cabinetry and additional brass fixtures. Aside from the master bathroom, there are four additional bathrooms and two more powder rooms for quick retouches.

Equally impressive is the outdoor space across the three levels — it offers a total of 3,500 square feet. The majority of this area is dedicated to the roof terrace, which hovers 467 feet over the city and makes for an excellent option for alfresco dining with the accompanying city view.

As for the amenities, owners of this apartment will have access to round the clock doorman and concierge, a fitness studio, a basketball court, a soccer pitch, a playroom, a game room, and a residents’ lounge. These are spread across eight floors and only 47 residences occupy the building.
