Deadline looms for small charities to apply for free entry to the Third Sector Awards

Charity

The registration deadline for free entry to the Third Sector Awards for small charities is rapidly approaching.

This year’s awards, which celebrate the work of voluntary sector organisations and the difference they make to society, includes 32 categories covering sector excellence, partnerships and talent.

The awards includes a scheme to spotlight the successes of small, micro, local and ethnic-minority-led charities by offering 15 free-entry places in the talent awards to charities with annual incomes of less than £100,000.

The talent awards include Fundraising Team of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Charity of the Year.

Eligible organisations must register their interest with the category they would like to submit an entry to by the deadline of 11:59pm on Wednesday 15 March in order to be considered.

Entries will be randomly allocated to registered applicants after the deadline.

Before the judging days, successful applicants will be invited to a free awards workshop, where they will be given practical advice and guidance on submitting a winning entry from our chair judge, Nihara Krause, and Andy Ricketts, acting editor of Third Sector.

The awards ceremony will take place at lunchtime on 22 September in central London.
