Ryan Reynolds Opens Up About Blake Lively ‘Doing Fantastic’ With Baby #4

Style

Ryan Reynolds offered his first remarks on being a father of four with his wife Blake Lively from his kitchen during an interview with CNBC’s Power Lunch this week. And he made one thing clear: don’t expect the baby’s name or sex from him this time.

“I ain’t telling,” he said when asked about whether they welcomed a boy or girl. “This ain’t a birth announcement.” Referring to the photo Blake Lively shared of herself visibly not pregnant on Super Bowl Sunday, he added, “We didn’t make a birth announcement, we just posted a photo and the media sort of did what it does after that.”

As for how the couple is doing with their fourth child, Reynolds was a little more forthcoming. “We’re very excited. Look, we wouldn’t do this four times if we didn’t love it,” he said. “Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic. If we hadn’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble.”

“It’s a zoo over here,” he said, joking about his kitchen, where he did the interview, “This is my office here. To be honest, I’ll probably spend the rest of my life in here.”

You can watch the interview below:

Reynolds and Lively already have three daughters: James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3. They let their close friend Taylor Swift reveal Betty’s name in her Folklore track of the same name, where all the daughters’ names also appear in the lyrics.

In August 2021, Reynolds discussed the song and Swift: “The names are the names of our kids. We trust her implicitly. She’s very sensitive to any of that stuff. Obviously the song has nothing to do with our kids other than our kids’ names. But I mean, what an honor.”
