Jewish Women’s Aid has appointed Alison Rosen as its new chief executive.
Rosen will replace Naomi Dickson, who spent more than 16 years with the organisation, including eight years as chief executive.
Dickson is now chief executive of the Jewish charity Norwood.
Before joining JWA, Rosen spent four years as chief executive of the healthcare charity The Griffin Institute and three years as chief executive of the disability charity Langdon.
She is co-chair of Nisa-Nashim Bushey, the Jewish Muslim Women’s Network and a founding trustee of Polly for Women, a charity offering a free and confidential telephone helpline for every woman and girl in the UK.
Rosen said: “I am really privileged to be joining Jewish Women’s Aid as chief executive. Given the current financial crisis, it will be of great significance to me to contribute to where women across the breadth of the Jewish community really need help.
“I am looking forward to working again within the Jewish community and getting to know the various organisations in the wider violence against women and girl’s sector.
“I aim to help grow the charity’s income so that the ever-increasing need for services can be met, ensuring that no Jewish woman needs to face domestic abuse and sexual violence alone.”
Rosen will take up her role in March.
