Whisky Live Singapore 2022: A Toast to Great Success

Luxury

Held over the weekend of 19 and 20 November 2022, Whisky Live Singapore attracted more than 2,700 visitors during its two-day event at Andaz Hotel. Despite a two-year hiatus, the 11th edition of Whisky Live Singapore returned with an even bigger fanfare. Over 80 unique brands participated in the showcase, making it the largest tasting show for whisky and fine spirits in Southeast Asia.

Hosted annually by La Maison du Whisky (LMDW), the event is the gathering point for whisky and spirits connoisseurs to interact and mingle with relevant players in the industry and be introduced to the newest expressions offered by different distilleries. Apart from a dedicated Whisky Hall that spanned over 500 metres squared, there was also a section called Rum Gallery while other spirits like Tequila, Mezcal and Gin could be found in the Spirits Avenue.

Other highlights of Whisky Live Singapore include more than 10 exclusive Singapore bottlings like the Glenlivet 15 Years Old and limited editions from Caol Ila, Teeling and Chichibu. Attendees of the event even got to be the first few to taste and buy new releases like Nikka Discovery: Aromatic Yeast, Port Charlotte SC:01.

Free masterclasses were also a popular choice among visitors to the event as an impressive lineup including Matthew Cordiner from Aberfeldy, Mark Reynier of Waterford and Renegade distilleries, Richard Seale from Foursquare Rums and Robert Caldwell shared their knowledge of the art of appreciating whiskies.

In November 2023, Whisky Live Singapore will return for its 12th edition. The Whisky Hall, Rum Gallery, and Spirits Avenue will all be bigger than before, with more room for the free masterclasses and an improved La Boutique experience.
