Last, but certainly not least, in our four-part installment of the most anticipated luxury property openings around the world, sees is go to the continent of Europe. Comprised of 44 countries, Europe is steeped in history and decadence of years gone by and continues to be a global hub for travelers. So, if you are looking for hot new spots to stay while roaming the continent, here is a list of new luxury openings in Europe.

Hotel Le Grand Mazarin – scheduled opening: Q1 2023

Maisons Pariente, a family venture, has chosen to open its latest hotel, Hotel Le Grand Mazarin, in the 4th arrondissementin Paris. Set in the vibrant Le Marais, famous for old-world charm, hidden courtyards and gardens and narrow cobblestone streets, the hotel is located in the heart of the Marais and is the first urban hotel of the brand’s collection. With 61 uniquely decorated rooms and suites, a spectacular restaurant and bar and a swimming pool, Hotel Le Grand Mazarin offers a festive, unexpected and privileged experience that’s an ode to the City of Light.

JW Marriott Hotel Madrid – scheduled opening: Q1 2023

In the urban center of Madrid in Plaza de Canalejas, JW Marriott Hotel Madrid revives the 19th century structure with elegant décor throughout. The restored building is expected to house 139 guestrooms, including two floors of suites featuring outdoor terraces and international dining experience served in the restaurant. The hotel will focus on providing a destination for guests to rediscover a balance in mind, body and spirit in their various wellbeing spaces.

The Peninsula Istanbul –scheduled opening: Early 2023

Located at the new waterfront revitalization project, Galataport, in Istanbul’s historic Karaköy district, The Peninsula Istanbul will soon serve as the cornerstone of Galataport. Along with an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the Bosphorus, the Lobby restaurant offers water views, which nods to its history as an early 20th-century ferry terminal. From its 177 opulent guestrooms and suites to its various sophisticated restaurants and one-story shopping arcade with exquisite luxury shopping, it will surely become a destination for its ancient Turkish tradition of hammam steam baths at the decadent The Peninsula Spa.

Six Senses Rome – scheduled opening: Early 2023

Offering sustainability and wellness in a downtown setting, Six Senses Rome is the company’s first property in Italy. Located on the Piazza di San Marcello and designed by Patricia Urquiola,it is just a few steps away from iconic landmarks such as the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and will feature 95 rooms and suites, a restaurant, spa and rooftop terrace showcasing 360-degree views of the Eternal City.

Six Senses Crans-Montana (Switzerland) – scheduled opening: Early 2023

Located in the canton of Valais just two hours from Geneva by car or train. The resort will include two restaurants, and a 22,000-square-foot spa specializing in Alpine treatments and will be great for high-altitude adventures in both summer and winter alike.

Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Sebastián – scheduled opening: Q2 2023

Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Sebastián will have a strong focus on cuisine, local culture and architectural design. The intimate 20 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites hotel is situated on the site of the famed Palacio Vista Eder overlooking La Concha Bay. The property will also feature a signature 98-cover Nobu restaurant offering panoramic views of the city along with a menu of iconic Nobu dishes.

Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Roma – scheduled opening: Q2 2023

Set to open in Q2 of 2023, this property is Nobu Hospitality’s first Italian hotel and the opening will transform the luxurious Grand Hotel into a Nobu Hotel and Restaurant. Located in the historic heart of Rome, on the exclusive world-renowned Via Veneto, this hotel is a collaboration with Carlo Acampora, Chairman and CEO of Grand Hotel Via Veneto. Nobu Hotel Roma will house 122 guest rooms and suites, a spectacular green-rooftop terrace, a full-service city spa and a Nobu Restaurant offering 24-hour in-room dining and an exclusive club lounge for enjoying world-class music.

Raffles London at The OWO Hotel – scheduled opening: Spring 2023

Raffles London at The OWO and The OWO Residences by Raffles will be the brand’s first opening in London in the heart of Whitehall. Located in the building that once was inhabited by Britain’s most famous statesmen and spies, the former Grade II* listed Old War Office on Whitehall, it will feature 120 rooms and suites, 85 residences, nine restaurants and three bars, including three restaurants and an extensive spa and health club. One of – if not the most – highly anticipated hotel to debut in 2023, the project will open to international guests for the first time in its 100-year history welcoming a new era of sophistication just a stone’s throw away from the Horse Guards Parade and other notable landmarks like Buckingham Palace.

Hotel La Palma, Capri – scheduled opening: Spring 2023

The elegant and exclusive 50-room-and-suite Hotel La Palma, Capri is located a few mere steps from the famous Piazzetta, reimagining a Capri icon, Capri’s first hotel, built in 1822, the hotel is the Oetker Collection’s first Italian hotel. Set to become the new epicenter of the island’s social scene, the hotel was designed by Francis Sultana and will comprise a rooftop restaurant and bar, its own beach club, pool deck, spa and high-fashion boutiques. On Capri’s southern coast at Marina Piccola, home to the island’s most famous beaches and restaurants, the hotel is set to bring back to life the island’s iconic dolce vita lifestyle.

One&Only Aesthesis – scheduled opening: Spring2023

As the brand’s second hotel in Europe, One&Only Aesthesis ties the glamour and nostalgia of the past with a modern, ultra-luxury resort experience on the Athens Riviera. On the dramatic Glyfada seafront, the 21-hectare beachfront resort celebrates the ancient wonders of Athens with its design paying homage to mid-century design. Along with 127 private rooms and breathtaking suites, 12 One&Only Private Homes are available for purchase, a destination beach club, two secluded beaches and a haven of wellness at Chenot Spa. The ultimate accommodation at One&Only Aesthesis is One&Only’s signature Villa One. Luxury exudes in the 5,500 sq. ft. interior while the living space flows seamlessly into over 9,900 sq. ft. of outdoor space accentuated by a private pool and fireplace.

Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino – scheduled opening: Spring 2023

Marking Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s first property in Greece, Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino is located on the historic Bay of Navarino on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese. Just a 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport, the beachfront resort will comprise 99 guest rooms, including 48 pool villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with five restaurants and bars and a wellness center facility that is over 16,000 sq. ft. Whilst the project is owned and developed by TEMES, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will manage the new luxury hotel.

The Peninsula London – scheduled opening: Spring 2023

The elegant, newly built hotel, which nods to the heritage architecture surrounding it overlooks Hyde Park Corner and the Wellington Arch. The Peninsula London will house 131 guest rooms and 59 suites and offer 25 exclusive luxury residences with highly personalized service for owners. With beautiful interiors and views of the city skyline, guests are welcomed first via their expansive inner courtyard, before embarking to one of the destination restaurants, a Peninsula Spa, nine retail boutiques and a grand ballroom.

The Son Bunyola Hotel – scheduled opening: Summer 2023

Newest to Sir Richard Branson’s luxury collection of award-winning hotels and retreats, The Son Bunyola Hotel is set in the stunning Tramuntana region of Mallorca. On a spectacular 810-acre estate with history dating back to the 15th century, the boutique 26-bedroom luxury hotel (one of the Tower Suites used to actually be a medieval defense tower) will present sweeping views of the Mediterranean coastline. Rooted at the heart of this conservation project is sustainability in so much that along with restoration of the main Finca, and the Tafona, Virgin Limited Edition’s sustainability initiatives are seen from an advanced water, air conditioning and refrigeration cooling systems.

W Prague– scheduled opening:Q3 2023

Marking the W Hotels debut into the Czech Republic, W Prague will be located on Wenceslas Square in the heart of the buzzing capital city. The hotel infuses the brand’s progressive design and innovative spirit into the former Grand Europa Hotel, which originally opened in 1905. Bringing old world glamor and bold, contemporary design, the two buildings will offer 61 stylish guestrooms and suites, including the Extreme Wow Suite. Enjoy sweeping cityscape views on their glamorous rooftop bar and an outdoor terrace and experience the indoor WET pool deck, FIT fitness center and AWAY ® Spa.

W Budapest – scheduled opening:Q3 2023

W Budapest will also be the brand’s debut in Hungary, situated on the city’s most luxurious shopping street in Budapest. Housed in the impressive Drechsler Palace on Andrassy Avenue (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) across from the State Opera House, W Budapest will feature 151 stylish guest rooms and suites, including one Extreme WOW suite. Like W Prague the hotel will offer an Away® Spa, FIT® fitness centre and WET® pool, as well as a restaurant and a destination bar.

W Edinburgh – scheduled opening: Q4 2023

The third debut for W Hotels in a new country, W Edinburgh will mark W Hotels’ debut in Scotland. Located in the new $1 billion retail-led lifestyle district in the center of St James Quarter, W Edinburgh features a striking exterior façade bringing the brand’s bold design front and center. The hotel will offer 244 stylish guestrooms, including 42 suites and one Extreme Wow Suite along with a rooftop SUSHISAMBA restaurant and outdoor terrace.

One&Only Kéa Island – scheduled opening: Late 2023

Inspired by authentic and pure Mediterranean living One&Only Kéa Island is an all-villa cliffside escape within a secluded 65-hectre beachfront enclave. Set on a self-sustainable island, less than an hour’s ferry from Athens, it will become a haven for sun-soaked amusement and relaxation from its serene destination spa – Chenot Spa, three atmospheric restaurants, two bars, a vibrant beach club and more. Offering a total of 73 resort villas, the property features two nearly 3,000 sq. ft. Presidential Suites and 40 One&Only Private Homes for sale.

Six Senses London – scheduled opening: Late 2023

Located in the historic Whiteley department store building built in the 1870s in West London’s Bayswater neighborhood, Six Senses London will be a new kind of social club hotel where wellness, community and sustainability come together with 110 rooms and suites, 14 branded residences and a spa space reminiscent of an old-fashioned London underground station.

Rosewood Schloss Fuschl – scheduled opening: 2023

Situated on the banks of Lake Fuschl, Rosewood Schloss Fuschl will mark Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ second property in Austria. The graceful, historic property is reminiscent of a fairytale castle as the reimagining of this 15th-century landmark provides a true sense of place. Surrounded by mountains and forests, it is only a short drive away from Salzburg and will feature 98 guest rooms, including 46 suites and six chalets, as well as Asaya, Rosewood’s integrative well-being concept, and world-class restaurants and lounges.

Rosewood Munich– scheduled opening: 2023

Ideally situated on Kardinal-Faulhaber-Strasse in the heart of Munich’s historic city center, Rosewood Munich will be the brand’s first property in Germany. Housed in the former headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria and the adjacent Palais Neuhaus-Preysing buildings, the restored hotel is within walking distance of several of the city’s most popular sites and destinations. The property will boast an inviting lobby lounge and two distinct dining venues, a full-service spa and 132 spacious guestrooms and suites which complement the property’s original façade and iconic stairways.
