Paul McCartney Attends Daughter Stella McCartney’s Runway Show at Paris Fashion Week

Paul McCartney showed his support for his daughter Stella McCartney‘s fashion line by attending her latest runway show.

The legendary musician sat in the front row at the brand’s spring 2023 runway show on Monday at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France where he was joined by his wife, Nancy Shevell. His other daughter Mary was also in attendance, busily photographing the celebrity-heavy audience and all the looks coming down the runway. McCartney and Shevell also later joined Stella backstage, congratulating her on the new collection and posing for a handful of photos. For the occasion, the former Beatle wore a deep navy double-breasted blazer and trousers, layered over a blue sweatshirt and light blue polo top. Shevell opted for a sparkly pink cardigan, baby pink midi skirt, and a camel overcoat, accessorized with matching slouchy, vegan leather boots and a gold-chain accented handbag.

The public appearance comes just days after McCartney proved that despite turning 80 this summer he’s still feeling just as young as ever. On Friday, the singer demonstrated his advanced yoga technique and flexibility, sharing a photo on Instagram of himself doing a headstand while watching MSNBC alongside his very unimpressed dog, Rose. “The headstand is my show-off moment when I’m in the gym…I was once told by a yoga teacher that it keeps you young,” he captioned the shot.

In a blog post on his website, McCartney went on to explain, “I like yoga, and I practice when I can. I think I first got into it when we were with the Maharishi in Rishikesh, in India. There was a bit of it there and there were people—some of his colleagues—who were very good at it, and I got a bit interested. Through the years I’ve just learned a couple of tricks, like a headstand!” He added that he likes doing headstands specifically because “You turn all your body organs upside down and seeing as for the rest of the day they’re either lying flat in bed or standing upright and got gravity pulling them down, apparently the inversion is supposed to be good. But it’s fun to do too!”
