Kim Kardashian, the reality television star and business mogul, has recently bought over Cindy Crawford’s Malibu estate for a staggering US$70.4 million. The deal was done in an off-market arrangement that closed last week, and with this new addition, the member of the Kardashian-Jenner family has been relatively active in the real estate business. A couple of weeks ago, she listed two properties for sale: a US$5.3 million Hidden Hills property and a US$3.5 Calabasas condo. The Vincent Duysen-designed condo was featured on “Keeping up With the Kardashians” and formerly an office for her shapewear line, Skims.
Previously owned by supermodel Cindy Crawford, the Malibu estate is located in the exclusive Encinal Bluffs neighbourhood and spans 7,450 square feet. The Mediterranean-style house occupies a land size of 3.12 acres and has private access that leads to the white sandy El Sol Beach. Despite being a two-story building, its floor plan allows multiple wraparound decks and patios that can be used for outdoor lounging. Additionally, surrounding the property are other amenities such as a tennis court, poolside cabana, fireplace, fire pit, and spa area — all overlooking the stunning Pacific Ocean.
There are a total of four bedrooms together with five-and-a-half bathrooms inside Kim Kardashian’s new abode. To create ease of access to the splendid outdoors, large sliding glass doors are put in place, which helps to open up the space and allow sunlight to enter. The grand master bedroom not only has its own fireplace and sitting area but also features dual spa-like bathrooms and a walk-in closet for the mogul to display her designer wardrobe and limited-edition bags. A gym with vaulted ceilings is a room in which Kim Kardashian will enjoy working out.
The mansion was listed with Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker for an initial price of US$99 million. Even if the final terms were US$70.4 million, it is still the most expensive home sold in Malibu this year and the fourth priciest in California. With this move, Kim Kardashian will be the new neighbour of Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cher.
