The chief executive of a children’s health charity has said she is to retire after 17 years in the role.
Anne Keatley-Clarke said she was stepping down from the Children’s Heart Federation, where she took up the top job in 2005.
She will be succeeded by Rajwant Kaur-Singh, who is deputy chief executive at the charity Rosetta Arts.
Keatley-Clarke will stay on at the CHF as a consultant for a short period to mentor the new chief executive. She then plans to spend “some much-earned time with her family and friends”, the charity said in a statement.
The CHF supports children with congenital and acquired heart conditions and their families. It has raised more than £400,000 for the cause since 2017, according to its most recent annual accounts.
Keatley-Clarke said she was proud of “seeing confidence grow in the parents and carers we support, giving them the ability to have a voice in their children’s care”.
Julie Wootton, chair of the charity, praised Keatley-Clarke’s “drive and enthusiasm”.
