Givenchy joins the list of luxury brands releasing NFTs as it partners up with graphic artist, Chito to create a series of 15 collectable NFTs.

Givenchy’s creative director, Matthew Williams, previously collaborated with Chito for Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. The collection featured Chito’s signature airbrushed characters to the clothing and accessories.

Now, Williams and Chito reveal the next part of their collaboration by bringing these illustrations to the metaverse. A rare set of 15 NFT graphic designs. The NFTs can be used by collectors as online avatars or profile pictures as an expression of digital fashion.

Speaking on the collaboration, Williams said: “I’ve been wanting to explore this new and exciting space for NFTs. The fact that Chito is already active in the ecosystem made it feel more natural for us to collaborate on this limited series and bring our collective vision for Givenchy even further.”

The Chito x Givenchy NFTs will go on sale on OpenSea on November 23rd. After seven days, the highest bidder offer will be accepted and bidders will receive their NFTs. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to The Ocean Cleanup, Givenchy’s “long-preferred foundation”.

According to the press release, the NFTs will live on the Polygon network, a blockchain that uses less energy than its competitors.
