90 Day Fiancé: Reasons Why Liz May Have Forgiven Big Ed After Abuse

Movies

There are many possible reasons why the 90 Day: The Single Life star Liz Woods may have forgiven Big Ed Brown after accusing him of abuse in the past. This problematic couple first appeared on 90 Day: The Single Life season 1 in February 2021. Liz and Ed didn’t look like a compatible couple, and they had several explosive fights onscreen and offscreen. Eventually, Liz confirmed her split from Ed during the Tell-All. At the time, she revealed that Ed broke up with her. The San Diego native called himself a “d**k” and an “a**hole,” and admitted that he made a mistake.

Right after the Tell-All concluded, Liz accused Ed of being insulting and disrespectful throughout their relationship. She allegedly leaked an abusive phone call between her and Ed, which confirmed that he treated her badly. Ed said many offensive things to Liz during that call, even though she told him to stop belittling her. Ed told Liz that she was “f**ked up” mentally, and said that he was tired of her “dumb f**king mistakes.” That abusive call between Liz and Ed shocked many 90 Day Fiancé fans. It also revealed that Liz wanted her relationship with Ed to work, but had trouble dealing with his very different mindset.

Now, he may be in a better headspace, and perhaps made positive changes that reassured Liz. She likely feels that is trying to improve, internally and externally. For example, the 56-year-old TV star is now focusing on his physical appearance more. He is taking care of his grooming and he’s chopped off his long locks. Ed has been working out consistently, and he has lost weight. He may be feeling healthier than he did before. He recently posted a photo after his weight loss, which earned praise from many 90 Day Fiancé viewers.

Another big reason why Liz might have forgiven Ed is the way he reacted after she exposed his verbal abuse. Even though the restaurant manager called Big Ed narcissistic multiple times, he didn’t respond publicly. It’s possible that Ed wanted to avoid hurting Liz, or stayed quiet for other reasons. Some fans think that Ed didn’t say anything against her because he wanted to be with her. Publicly, the former photographer had always maintained that he was in love with Liz (via US Weekly). He’s said that he wanted to make their relationship work. He has not been short on attention from female fans, but Big Ed didn’t get into a new relationship. In fact, he talked about going to a couple’s counseling session with Liz.

Maybe therapy worked for the couple, giving Liz the tools to recover from Ed’s abuse and eventually forgive him. While some 90 Day Fiancé fans still think that Ed and Liz’s relationship isn’t legit, there are clues that suggest they may get married soon. The couple is already engaged and has recently welcomed a fourth member of their family, a pet dog. It will be interesting to watch 90 Day: The Single Life season 2 and find out exactly what Ed did to win Liz back.
