Up to 15 countries, including Poland and Germany, could be added to the UK’s green list tomorrow, while Spain looks set to remain amber.
This according to predictions by travel consultancy CEO Paul Charles, who stated this morning: ’10-15 countries [will be] added to the green list’. He also reiterated ministers’ comments that France ‘will be removed’ from the Amber+ list.
Fears that Spain would be red-listed have also been allayed, as a Whitehall source claimed that increased restrictions would be “very unlikely”.
“Spain won’t be going on the amber watchlist – the only danger is it going red but that’s very unlikely,” the source told The Times. ”Cases are coming down. And they haven’t got enough beds to quarantine everybody. So it’s not going to happen.”
