Chartered Institute of Fundraising says it has appointed a new chief executive

The Chartered Institute of Fundraising has said it has appointed a new chief executive and expects to make an announcement in “the next few weeks”.

In a question and answer document following up member queries that went unanswered at the membership body’s annual general meeting earlier this month, the CIoF said: “We can also confirm that a new chief executive has been appointed to lead the Chartered Institute and the staff team.

“We are intending to announce that appointment in the next few weeks.”

Dhivya O’Connor joined the CIoF as interim chief executive in May, shortly before Peter Lewis stepped down after almost 10 years leading the body.

Lewis announced in March that he would step down as the institute faced public pressure from some members over its handling of sexual harassment complaints, although Lewis said at the time that he had handed in his resignation before the outcry began.
