A Bentley formally owned by the monarch is also going up for sale for £180,000.

Police were called last Sunday to one of Queen Elizabeth‘s estates for the third time in the last two months, catching two intruders who had scaled the fences of Windsor’s Royal Lodge.

Six days after a woman was arrested for wandering the grounds of Prince Andrew‘s home, a 31-year-old man and his 29-year-old girlfriend were also caught on the property after jumping the fence, according to The Sun. The Queen has spent the last year living at nearby Windsor Castle due to the pandemic. The trespassers were arrested and taken to Maidenhead police station where they were later released on police bail pending further inquiries. A source told the outlet, “This is an astonishing lapse. Everyone was on high alert after the first intruder, now this happens. Heads could roll. It is unforgivable.” These two separate sets of trespassers at Windsor also come a little over a month after officers arrested a man in connection with a suspicious package left at the Queen’s Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland.

However, there is one way for the public to get closer to the Queen without catching a charge in the process. A deep green Bentley Mulsanne previously owned by Her Majesty is currently up for sale for £180,000, according to The Sun. The car was used by the royal at Buckingham Palace between 2013 and 2015 before it was decommission from royal use. The Queen is known to keep two identical cars is use at all times, one in Windsor and one at Buckingham Palace. The Bentley used at Windsor was sold by Piston Heads in 2019, and this new listing says it is now a “great honor to present the second car for sale.”.

The Bentley’s listing goes on to state that, “This Barnato Green motorcar was formally owned by HM Queen Elizabeth II and was in service with the Royal Household from 2013 – 2015 with its exclusive use being to transport Her Majesty. Its Barnato Green exterior paintwork is paired with a Twine Main Hide and complemented further by Burr Walnut Veneers to its trim and also the door panels. This vehicle would make for an exceptional addition to any collection and it is extremely rare to find a car with such provenance and history, especially when related to our longest-reigning monarch.” While in the Queen’s fleet, the car was cared for exclusively by Jack Barclay Bentley and, thanks to the monarch’s limited travel needs, only comes with 2,000 miles on it.
