The former head of the charity HIV Scotland has been charged with a voyeurism offence.
Nathan Sparling pleaded not guilty to the charge at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week. A trial date has been set in August.
Sparling was chief executive of HIV Scotland from December 2018 until December last year.
The charity said it could not comment while there were ongoing legal proceedings.
Third Sector understands that Alastair Hudson was appointed interim chief executive of the charity in January.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service said: “Nathan Sparling appeared on a single charge of contravention of Sexual Offences (S) Act 2009 sec 9(1) and 4(b) (voyeurism). He pled not guilty with an intermediate diet [a procedural hearing] fixed for 19 July and trial for 9 August.”
