It isn’t very often that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge share family photos of their children, but for Prince William’s birthday (coincidentally on U.S. Father’s Day), the royal couple offered their fans a rare look at Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with their dad. The kids appear with Prince William, all wearing denim in a photo that Kate Middleton took, and Kensington Palace published on its Instagram.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new picture of The Duke with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis ahead of The Duke’s birthday tomorrow,” Kensington Palace wrote on its account. “The picture was taken earlier this month by The Duchess.”

The Duke and Duchess have been quarantining with their children at their country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk. The couple discussed what the experience being there with their kids has been like in an interview with BBC, conducted in April.
“Children have got such stamina,” Kate said. “I don’t know how, honestly. You get to the end of the day and you write a list of all the things you’ve done in that day. You’ve pitched a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake, you get to the end of the day. They’ve had a lovely time. It’s amazing how much you can cram into one day, that’s for sure.”
The two added that they video chat regularly with family members, although Louis, who’s just two years old, is a big fan of hitting the red button, which hangs up on them, William said.
Kate added, “It gets a bit hectic, I’m not going to lie. With a two-year-old you have to take the phone away. It’s quite hectic for them all to say the right thing at the right time without pressing the wrong buttons. But it’s great and it’s nice to keep in touch with everybody.”
