Smooth, with slightly padded calfskin – the latest addition to a long list of Louis Vuitton launches include the classic shoulder heirloom bag, they’ve dubbed, the ‘LV Pont 9’. Crafted in honor of the first arrondissement’s iconic Pont Neuf landmark, which connects both banks over the Seine River with 12 arches, and lies just across the Maison’s headquarters – the shoulder bag marks the first release of the brand’s LV Pont 9 leather line.
Featuring Nicolas Ghesquière-designed hardware, the bag showcases historic yet distinctly modernized elements, through utilizing an archived logo from the 1930s on the central buckle and strap, in conjunction with a Monogram floral magnetic closure detail, plus two internal compartments and pockets.
Colored in variations of cream, summer gold, and black, the first batch of LV Pont 9 shoulder bags are currently available through the Louis Vuitton webstore, with a wider range of muted mid-blue and rose-pink leather alternatives set to be unveiled by 26th June 2020.
