Third Sector is building a manifesto for the future of the voluntary sector, and the team wants to hear from you.
The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the voluntary and not-for-profit sector beyond imagining. And while many organisations are still battling to survive the immediate impact of the virus, the need for a long-term vision to enable charities to continue supporting those who desperately need them is becoming increasingly apparent.
As people move from crisis action to the longer process of recovery, the sector has been presented with a unique opportunity to reflect on and commit to changing its processes for the better.
The next edition of Third Sector will explore what you believe most needs to change and, crucially, how these intentions can be turned into practice.
To help us put the manifesto together, we’re keen to hear what changes you think the sector needs to make to help organisations survive, thrive and achieve their missions.
We’ve come up with some areas where the Covid-19 crisis could provide an opportunity for fundamental reform of the way the charity sector operates, but we’re keen to hear your views, both on the areas we’ve identified and on others that we might not have thought of.
The survey will be open until midday on 22 June. You can find the survey here.
You don’t need to answer all of the questions and, if you want to discuss the issues further, please feel free to contact senior features and analysis writer Rebecca Cooney at rebecca.cooney@haymarket.com.
