Azimut Yachts has announced its first ever online sale following a successful first e-boat show on its new Virtual Lounge.
This Virtual Lounge features videos, technical data sheets and in-depth articles and was created specifically to maintain a bond with owners during restrictions on social interaction and travel due to Covid-19.
In the first month since its debut, the Virtual Lounge attracted over 11,000 visitors, with 50 per cent connecting from Europe, 35 per cent from the Americas and 15 per cent from the Middle and Far East. Virtual Lounge visitors spend on average more than four minutes in the area.
Azimut was happy with the traffic, comparing it to about 3,000 visitors to its booths at leading boat shows.
Visitors to the four-day e-boat show received real time assistance from the brand’s team of Sales Managers during Live Chat sessions, with one-to-one web meetings organised to help close sales.
Azimut was most excited by the “‘first 100% online sale” during the brand’s four-day e-boat show, during which several negotiations started before the S6 deal was confirmed.
Last year, the S6 featured in an installation in New York’s Times Square, where it was admired and photographed by over 700,000 visitors in little more than a week. The yacht features an extensive use of carbon-fibre and three Volvo Penta IPS700 propulsion units.
Azimut said the Virtual Lounge has such a success that it will keep it and continue adding new content.
It also said the e-boat show initiative proved not only to be a valid alternative until boat shows return in their traditional format but also an interesting tool for sales sessions addressed to specific markets and types of yacht.
