PlayStation Days of Play Features Some Of The Best PS4 Games

Movies

Yesterday marked the beginning of Sony‘s annual Days of Play sale and, as usual, some of the best PlayStation 4 games are on sale for discounted prices. While the release of the PS5 may be on the horizon, players can still stock up on plenty of great titles to hold them over, or perhaps even bring over with PlayStation 5 backward compatibility. Sony has been running its Days of Play sale for the last four years, and they’ve all been received well by players.

Sony first started its Days of Play sale back in 2016, and since then its continued to grow into a big event for players. Every year, hundreds of games, add-ons, accessories, and even PS+ subscriptions see major price drops, sometimes up to 70% off.

On Sony’s PlayStation website, several classic PS4 games and accessories can be seen on sale such as Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition for $9.99, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition for $19.99, and Nioh for $9.99 (Nioh 2 can also be purchased for $39.99). And as for the accessories, Sony has four different wireless headsets listed for $69.99, down from their usual price of $99.99. Should players also need a new PlayStation Plus subscription, those can also be bought for cheap during the sale, a 12-month PS+ subscription costs just $41.99 instead of its usual $59.99.

PlayStation 4 Lifelong Sales Billion

There’s hundreds more great games that can be found on the PlayStation store under the Days of Play banner, but if none of those seem interesting, then players could still be in luck. While it is ending sooner than the Days of Play sale, Sony also has a Double Discount sale running simultaneously for PS+ subscribers, which features more great deals. The biggest stand out is the Assassin’s Creed Origins Gold Edition which is going for just $19.99, down 80% from its regular $99.99 price. Other titles in the Double Discount sale include Persona 5 and Batman: Return to Arkham.

With schools getting out for summer, there’s going to be a slew of people looking for ways to fill all the new free time they’ve suddenly gotten. Knowing this, Sony hopes to bring in some serious sales through the PlayStation 4, including some from those who may not have been that into video games before. Both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Doom Eternal benefited significantly from having their releases in the midst of the current pandemic, and it seems that several other developers and publishers are trying to make the best of the current climate as well.
