Animal Crossing New Horizons introduces a plethora of new characters to the world of Animal Crossing. And while the majority of the new cast is pretty lively, one, in particular, is fairly ghostly. Nevertheless, helping this little ghoul will net the player some sweet rewards.
Wisp is a small orbicular ghost who inhabits your island. He only comes out late at night and roams the outskirts of the island’s shore. And ironically enough he is terrified of ghosts, and he needs your help to get his spirit pieces back.
Wisp in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Wisp can be found on the outskirts of the island shore late at night roaming a small area. If a player approaches Wisp and talks to him, Wisp will think you are a ghost and will explode into spirit pieces out of fear. This explosion will leave behind a much smaller version of wisp.
Once Wisp realizes you are not a ghost he will ask for your help getting his spirit pieces back, and it is the least you can do since you cause him to lose them in the first place. Wisp will tell you that you need to find 5 spirit pieces scattered around the island, and you will need a net to catch them. He also promises you a reward in return for collecting his spirit pieces.
Spirit Piece locations in Animal Crossing New Horizons
The Spirit Pieces you are looking for can be found floating all across the player’s island. They are not in one set place and act similar to butterflies floating from place to place. Players will need to track down five of these pieces and then return to Wisp to collect their reward.
Again, players will need to collect each piece with a bug net, and the pieces will need to be collected at night.
Wisps Reward in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Upon returning the Spirit Pieces to Wisp he will assume his original circular form from before he was scared… to death. He will then thank the player and reward them with an item of their choosing.
The player will not know what they are picking specifically but will be given two obscure choices: An item the player doesn’t already own or an expensive item. After making your choice, a reward will be placed in your inventory and Wisp will disappear. According to the Nook Miles challenges it appears that this will not be the last time you see Wisp.
